TESTING FOR CARBONLESS PAPER COLLATION
A quick test you can perform to determine which collation you need is to number
three sheets of ordinary paper in order: 1 - 2 - 3. Load the numbered sheets so
that the printer prints on the same side that the numbers are on. Print the three sheets.
Take the three printed sheets from the output tray.
If the first sheet has a "1" on it, you need a FORWARD collated product.
If the first sheet has a "3" on it, you need a REVERSE collated product.
Please review the chart below to confirm your test.

Testing 2 Part CARBONLESS Paper (Label on ream wrapper shows Print Side.):
Although it is difficult to tell, carbonless paper does have a front (imaging)
and a back (non-imaging) side. The best way to tell which is which is to determine
the proper sequence of colors. First, lay the stack of Carbonless Paper on the
table in front of you, being careful not to disturb the sequence.

2 Part Carbonless Paper comes as only REVERSE COLLATED paper.
Since you have received REVERSE COLLATED paper, then the proper sequence is
Canary-White, in that order. If your paper appears to be in
White-Canary sequence, then you are looking at the back side of the paper.
Simply flip the entire stack over so that the paper is face up.
If your printer outputs face down, then the first sheet printed should be White. If
your printer outputs face up, then simply remove the White sheet from the top of
the stack so that the first sheet printed is Canary.

Simply flip the entire stack over so that the paper is face up.

If you have received REVERSE COLLATED paper, then the proper sequence is
Pink-Canary-White, in that order. If your paper appears to be in
White-Canary-Pink sequence, then you are looking at the back side of the paper.
Simply flip the entire stack over so that the paper is face up.

Once you have determined which side of the paper is the face, simply load the
paper into the printer, making sure to load face down or face up as necessary.
Now you are ready to print. You can print the actual form that you will be using,
or just a test document. You should try to print something that uses all the colors
that comprise the form and make sure you go through at least 2 "sets" of forms.
Once your forms are printed, you need to determine that they are on the proper
White-Canary-Pink sequence, and that you have indeed printed on the correct side
of the paper. To do this, take one White-Canary-Pink "set" of forms, and write your
name on the White Sheet, making sure to press down hard enough to image the other
sheets. Your name should image onto the Canary and the Pink sheets. If it has, your
test has been successful, and you are now ready to go.
